Dates:

July 27th, 2010 – Coach’s Meeting at the Embassy Suites, Boardroom I and II, 8:00 PM, beginning with certification process followed by a 9:00 PM Meeting start.

All coaches are to bring:

  1. Coaches are to bring a money order for $350 paid to Mudville Pinnacle at the coach’s meeting.
  2. Birth certificates from the bureau of vital statistics; hospital certificates are not acceptable.
  3. Medical releases
  4. Proof of insurance
  5. Roster on official AABC form and signed by each player & league official.
  6. Scorebooks of all league games

Re: Connie Mack West Regional Tournament

The 2010 Connie Mack West Regional Tournament will be played from July 28 - Aug 1, 2010 at Bannerwood in Bellevue and Husky Ballpark in Seattle, wood bats are required.

It will be a 12+ team tournament hosted by Mudville and Enfugeo baseball clubs. The tournament will be a true double elimination tournament played in accordance with the approved AABC double elimination brackets.

Please read page 17-18 of the AABC handbook we will use the American League DH rule pitcher only and no re-entry or courtsey runners. The Connie Mack pitching rule will be used. Please read page 29 of the AABC handbook. A pitcher may be removed as a pitcher and play another position; he may return as a pitcher if he was not removed because of trips to the mound.

See page 36 (4) eight run rule after five innings; except championship game.

Any game not legally completed because of weather or other unforseen developments shall be a suspened game and play shall resume at the point of suspension; any game legally completed shall be subject to rule 4.12 (a) of the official baseball rules. See page 23 of the AABC handbook.

We will require each team pay a tournament fee of $350.00 please bring check payable to Mudville Pinnacle to the coaches meeting on July 27th, 7:00 pm, at the Embassy Suites in Bellevue.

Each team must bring the following to the tournament:

  • A check for $350.00 payable to the Mudville Pinnacle

The winner of the tournament will advance to the Connie Mack World Series in Farmington, NM.

Husky Ballpark at Chaffey Field

  • Amenities: is a college baseball stadium on the campus of the University of Washington in Seattle. It is the home field of the Washington Huskies of the Pac-10 conference. Opened in 1998, Husky Ballpark has a seating capacity of 1,500 and is located 600 yards north of Husky Stadium; the ballpark's left field wall borders wetlands adjacent to Union Bay. Originally slated for a permanent concrete grandstand, the spectator seating area remained temporary bleachers through the 2009 season. The UW's soccer stadium (natural grass) is adjacent to the north.

    The ballpark's infield is Field Turf was installed prior to the 2005 season; the dirt sliding pits at the three bases were eliminated. The only cut-out portions that remained dirt are the home plate area and the pitcher's mound. The base paths and infield "skin" portion, normally dirt on a natural grass field, is gold-colored Field Turf, & the warning track around the perimeter is purple. The outfield of Husky Ballpark has been natural grass since its opening in 1998; with excellent drainage, the bluegrass, rye, and fescue mix allows play in all weather.
  • Directions: From I-5: Take the Hwy 520 exit. Exit off 520 at the Montlake/ University of Washington ramp, the Husky Baseball Stadium is located off Montlake Blvd approximately 1 mile North of Hwy 520 past the E-1 parking lots.
  • Parking: E-1 Parking Lot requires a $7 parking fee to be paid at the parking gate machine upon entry.

Each team/coach will submit a separate team rooming list one week prior to arrival, listing the player’s and parent names. Once this is done, parents/families reserve/pay for their rooms separately using the link above or calling into the hotel.
